The Pittsburgh Melanoma Foundation is a Pittsburgh-based 501(c)3 organization whose mission is to raise melanoma awareness in the Pittsburgh area through prevention and early detection. PMF is ran by volunteers who have all been personally impacted by melanoma. Some of us are survivors, caretakers, healthcare workers, and family and friends of those who have battled melanoma. Since 2012, we have donated $505,000 to melanoma research and awareness programs happening in Pittsburgh.
Proceeds from our 2025 fundraisers will benefit Allegheny Health Network under the direction of Dr. Howard Edington.
2025 Angel and Survivor Signs
If you have attended one of our previous 5k events, you will remember the angel and survivor signs along the course. The signs are no cost to you and you are welcome to take them home after the 5k. If you'd like an angel or survivor sign printed to be displayed at the 5k, please fill out the form. Please email jessicarogowicz@yahoo.com with any questions.
If you believe that you left your angel/survivor sign at the 5k last year and would like to reuse that one, please check the corresponding options below.

Registration for our 2025 Pittsburgh Melanoma Foundation 5k Run/Walk

Our 5k event returns for 2025! This will be both in-person at Corrigan Drive in South Park with an option to participate “virtually” anywhere in the US.
The in-person event will take place on June 15th at 9AM. Registration fee includes a moisture-wicking t-shirt, bib number, and timing chip.

Our race registration was open in 2020 when it was canceled due to COVID-19. The majority of our registered runners so graciously chose to donate their registration fees.
In 2021, our virtual 5k drew over 1,200 runners from across 30 states.
Over 1,700 runners and walkers joined us and supported our mission in 2024.
We keep the wise words of Chris Hallam close to our hearts:
